Q: Do the Pond'toons come with a plant inside?
A: Although many pond retailers sell Pond'toons with a growing plant, online sales through Aquatic Eco-Systems is for the unplanted Pond'toon only.

Q: Can I put planted Pond'toons right into the koi pond in the Spring?

A: Each plant has its own preferred conditions. Some plants, like Impatiens, like warmer water above 60 degrees and should be protected from the full midday sun for a few weeks. After acclimation, they can handle more sun than Impatiens planted in soil. This is because they can draw all the water they need from the pond.

Q: During a heavy rain, my Pond'toon flipped over and the koi nibbled the leaves. Can it be saved?
A: Although Pond'toons are designed to hold over 2 lbs. of weight, they can become top-heavy and flip in heavy rain if not clipped back periodically. If you prefer to let them grow larger, they can be tethered by 2 corners to the pond edging to stabilize them. If they flip over and the koi eat the leaves, just cut them back to about 4 inches and they will regrow very quickly.
