Three reasons Pond’toons are better...

Why can’t I just load my pond with pots of the usual aquatic plants sold in aquatic garden centers ?

Reason 1: aquatic plants in pots have roots that are in soil or pebbles. They grow slowly and absorb very little of the nitrates in the water. Some, like waterlilies, even need added fertilizer tablets monthly to flower properly. Not Pond’toons. Their roots are exposed directly to the water, where they can soak up the nitrates and flower endlessly!

Reason 2: pots on the pond bottom or sides interfere with water circulation and allow " dead zones " to form. Fish droppings accumulate and are hard to get to for cleaning. With Pond’toons, water circulation is unaffected and your filter system can work more efficiently.

Reason 3: If you want to keep koi, you will soon find out that they root around in the soil of your plant pots, creating cloudy water and consuming the plants. Not with Pond’toons! Your plant is completely protected from the koi, without soil or pots to contend with.
